Brooke Burke-Charvet was on Good Morning America recently promoting the new Chicken Soup for the Soul book, The Joy of Less. A humor poem of mine titled “Slightly Bent Flugelhorn, Best Offer” is in it.
This is the 11th Chicken Soup for the Soul book I have contributed to. I’m always proud to be a part of their wholesome and inspirational books.
The Joy of Less is a fun, helpful book about decluttering our lives and minds. Not just curing “hoarding” but also eliminating unnecessary activity that distracts us from larger dreams/goals, and even people who aren’t truly in our corner.
For many people, including myself too often, life sometimes feels like trying to run but being held back, as if we’re running through a briar patch but the thorns keep snagging us. It’s a frustrating feeling, and a hole that months and years fall into. The only cure is removing the unnecessary clutter from our lives and minds, and focusing on what matters most.
